Sam Berk, a Holocaust Survivor, beloved husband of Jennie “Jean”, nee Sauer, for 57 wonderful years; loving father of Rita Pappas, Steven (Jennifer) Berk and Susan (Richard) Pomerantz; cherished grandfather of Carly Pappas, Corey and Jacob Berk and Brett and Mallory Pomerantz; dear brother of Bernat (the late Kay) Berk; treasured brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend of many. Chapel service Tuesday 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Sorry to hear about my buddy Sam. I worked out at Multiplex with him for 17 years . Very generous man and will miss card games and all the great times we had together.
